Jangareddygudem has been declared as municipal finally on Wednesday. People have been waiting for this news for further development for the past few years. As per our Ex chief minister Sri Y. S Raja Sekhar Reddy's rule the Panchayat's which have more than 40,000 population should be considered as Mincipality. Though Jangareddygudem and Akiveedu have been proposed to be municipalities, Akiveedu has been rejected since the population is below 40,000.

Today is so nice day which every body should remember. I found an interesting information as soon as I started browsing on my laptop. Today ie. 22nd April is celebrated as Googles Earth Day. Thanks a lot to google which reminds us very good events and importance of everyday with its very interesting and useful information with google doodles. It was nice few days back I saw that was women's day and Charlie Chaplin's Birthday.  Anyway lets come to the topic.

Let me say a little about Earth Day as per Wikipedia, Earth Day was day to bring awareness about nature and Earth environment. It was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson (D-Wisconsin) as an environmental teach-in in 1970 and is celebrated in many countries every year. The first Earth Day was in 1970.

On this wonderful day it is nice to see good rain and cool weather. Hope our Jangareddygudem town brings green initiative to save plants and nature. Everybody should plant trees to keep the town cool and to reduce pollution.

1500 Pilgrims / Devotees from Jangareddygudem and surrounding places participated in Bhdrachalam Pada Yatra. Viswa Hindu Parishat played a major role in this event. These piligrims include several women, senior citizens. These devotees reached Bhadrachalam in 5 days.  Some of these devotees got opportunity to prepare or mix pearls in Talambralu. These Talambralu were used for Sri Rama Navami in Bhadra Chalam. These people also carried Talambralu which were pealed by hands or nails. This shows Great Bhakti of people. This Padayatra started  at Sri Rama Layam Jangareddygudem on 8th April 2011. One more greatness of this Sri Rama Navami is that This year piligrims also got the opportunity to celebrate Sri Rama Pattabhishekam. Crowd was never before like this in the past 20 years.

Ramdev Baba visited Jangareddygudem as part of Bharath Swabhiman Yatra on 12th March 2011

Great Patanjali Yoga Guru Sri Ramdev Baba visited Jangareddygudem as he has been doing the Bharath Swabhiman Yatra for 1 Lakh Kilometers.

The even was grand successful at Jangareddygudem. As Sri Ramdev baba is very popular as his Yoga trainings were telecasted on  Astha, Bhakthi, TV1. If you have watched any of these channels before you would wonder to see hundreds and thousands of people attending his Yoga classes. Ramdev Baba also said there are thousands and lakhs of people who learn his Yoga techniques by attending his training sessions directly or by watching his videos.

In his visit he also promised that he would soon start a Ayurveda Hospital in Jangareddygudem. It will be started within a month.

He also suggested Jangareddygudem people to practice Yoga and Pranayama regulary to be healthy. He also suggested few tips to avoid Coca cola and Alcohol.  During the meeting Ramdev Baba recommended not to use Foreign clothes and  foreign products to increase the income to the country.

He asked people to promise that they would quit Alcohol. He also appreciated indian mother that they don't boos. He also said neither Rama nor Krishna had the habit of Alcohol.
